Nabeshima Cup 2025

📢 ANNOUNCEMENT: 2025 NABESHIMA CUP KENDO TOURNAMENT & SHINSA
Attention all kendo practitioners! We are excited to announce the upcoming Nabeshima Cup Kendo Tournament & Shinsa, a premier event that brings together the kendo community for a weekend of spirited competition, skill refinement, and rank testing.
📅 Date: April 4-6th
📍 Location: The Episcopal School of Dallas4100 Merrell Road, Dallas, Texas 75229 
📝 Registration Deadline: March 8th
🔥 Tournament Highlights:
  • Divisions for All Levels – Youth, Mudansha, Yudansha
  • Competitive and Friendly Atmosphere – Test your skills against fellow kendoka
  • Special Guest Judges & Shinpan – Learn from experienced referees and instructors
🎖 Shinsa (Promotion Exam):
  • Opportunity for rank testing (Kyu - 4Dan levels)
  • Judged by a panel of senior sensei
  • Pre-registration required for all testing candidates

TULSA KENDO / SWKIF Spring Event Rensei Taikai and Shinsa May 3-5 th 2024

Tulsa Kendo Dojo is excited to announce our inaugural Rensei Taikai for members and guests of the Southwest Kendo and Iaido Federation. It is our goal to provide a dynamic and memorable tournament experience, and provide meaningful growth for all participants.
Friday is set aside for the inaugural SWKIF seminar.
Saturday will be the tournament followed by a celebration banquet at night.
Sunday will be for SWKIF testing and ranking.

Attention all Kendo enthusiasts! Get ready to mark your calendars because an exciting event is on the horizon: the Tulsa Rensei Taikai, happening from May 3rd to May 5th. Hosted at the prestigious Charles Schusterman Jewish Community Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, this event promises to be an unforgettable experience for all participants.

What sets the Tulsa Rensei Taikai apart? It's a team-based, Round Robin Taikai designed with a unique structure aimed at fostering a focused learning environment for everyone involved. We're introducing some innovative changes to the traditional format, ensuring that each attendee gains valuable insights and experiences.

As hosts, we're committed to ensuring that every participant has the opportunity to fully engage and enjoy the event. If you're concerned about forming teams or navigating the new roster structure, don't worry! We'll be more than happy to assist you in creating teams closer to the event date. Stay tuned for more details as we approach May.

But wait, there's more! On Sunday, May 5th, we'll also be offering up-to-Yondan Shinsa, providing a chance for practitioners to test their skills and progress in their Kendo journey.

Join us for this enriching event taking place over two days, on July 29th and 30th, at the Charles Schusterman Jewish Community Center. The seminar will run from 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, and from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM on Sunday, July 30th.
