Shin Sou Fu Kan Kendo Dojo in partnership with the Charles Schusterman Jewish Community Center offers classes  .every week that are open to beginners and advanced students. The calendar above will note when extra Saturday practices are available which will be focused on specific aspects of practicing kendo like kata (forms), shiai (competitive sparring), and preparing for rank testing.

Closures due to holidays, illness, inclement weather, etc. will also be posted via this public calendar. 

Special opportunities like seminars, guest instructor visits, tournaments, and rank testing as well as registration deadlines for the same will also be available on this calendar. Please feel free to bookmark this page.

 EQUIPMENT FOR CLASS

Beginners only need to wear loose fitting clothes like athletic wear. Leggings are permitted. We have extra shinai (bamboo swords) and bokuto (wooden swords) to use during class.
